Drawing inspiration from the great extreme bands of the 90’s such as Celtic Frost, Autopsy and Bolt Thrower, Stabwound plays a powerful and heavy brand of Death Metal that we like to call « Raw Death ».

Stabwound is not a « worship » nor a « revival » band but puts its own twist in the perpetuation of a tradition, style and aesthetic. We play a style of Death Metal that mixes catchy riffs and a dark and moody atmosphere in songs going from thrashy riffs, doomy heaviness and brooding melodies.

Stabwound refuses overkill quantisation, autotune, the use of AI and the overall neuteuring happening in music recordings nowadays
